This is Concept C
Introducing C – a stunning blend of tradition and innovation. This exclusive concept design by Studio De Voogt showcases a design reflecting its 75-year heritage while incorporating cutting-edge technology and avant-garde ideas and is based on thorough research. Proposals generated by the designers are refined until they are not only dazzling but also buildable, ready to be incorporated as key elements in future Feadships, each aligned with our sustainability goal of achieving Net Zero impact.

Inspired by a diamond
The first sketches of C were simple lines hinting at an intriguing, faceted structure, each level designed to bring light into the vessel in a unique way. Studio De Voogt began leveraging its heritage of yacht design mastery to conceptualise a future Feadship in three dimensions, imagining exciting lifestyle options in an open-plan interior. C's bow flare pays homage to the designs of the late Frits de Voogt, whose powerful and iconic bows are evident in the Feadship Heritage Fleet, brought forward here with hidden anchors and glass balustrades. Departing from the fluidity of Dunes, C displays a more masculine flair, hexagons, polygons and crisp oblique lines imparting boldness and strength.

Connected by Light
C's centre of guest circulation rises through a broad four-story column where each deck splits by a half-level, eliminating long corridors and encouraging interaction between guests. At the top, a prism-like structure nestled within the mast captures light and reflects it throughout the interior — just like its diamond inspiration. At the touch of a button, the lift platform deposits you at the next level without breaking the conversation. Take it to the top, the skylight opens automatically, and it becomes a private crow's nest. It is possible.
Hidden Command Centre
C's low profile is possible because she has no bridge deck. Following the breakthrough first proposed on concept design Pure, a fully digital command centre is located on the lower deck, positioned between the crew area and the guest spaces of the spa, gym, dining room and beach club. This hidden control room is envisioned as a place that guests can enjoy visiting as well. The yacht's power is generated by fuel cells converting liquid methanol into hydrogen through an on-board reformer — running silent, vibration-free and without local harmful emissions.

Capturing Energy, Naturally
Feadship's Knowledge & Innovation team proposes a passive energy-generating system called 'Hammerhead'. A pair of retractable fins deploy horizontally at the bow; as they encounter wave motion, they swivel and a permanent magnet generator converts the movement into DC electrical energy stored in the batteries. Analysis through CFD modelling indicates the yacht could harvest about 60-80 kW in a very common 1-metre seaway — covering approximately half of C's hotel load. When anchored, the same fins activate to dampen roll motions, and may even be used to tension the anchor chain, avoiding the tendency to 'sail' in shifting winds.
