While the first Baby Weekender was transported to America in May 1955, the second 9.14-metre Baby Weekender remained at the shipyard in Aalsmeer and was eventually displayed at the Hiswa shipbuilders and watersports exhibition a year later. For this exhibition the yard insured the Baby Weekender for the hefty amount of fl. 13,000 guilders (€50,000 adjusted). All told, some 18 Baby Weekenders were sold in America, contributing greatly to Feadship’s early exposure there.
