This is Jo-Ed
Whereas sport fishing in The Netherlands involves a fishing rod and keepnet, in 1950s Florida enthusiasts were already fishing with so-called Sport Fisherman equipped with fixed rods, a 'flying bridge' and fast enough to track tuna. In 1951 Feadship was commissioned to build two of these boats: Linda Anne and this Jo-Ed. During the sea trials on the Westeinderplas near Aalsmeer, the 13.35-metre Jo-Ed reached a top speed of 52 kilometres per hour, a full 12km/h faster than her twin sister Linda Anne.
