In 1951 Feadship was commissioned to build two Sport Fisherman: the first, the 13.35-metre Linda Anne, was built of steel, and the second, Jo-Ed, was made of mahogany. In August 1952 Linda Anne’s trial run took place on the Westeinderplas where she skimmed over the water at a speed of 40 kilometres per hour. In September 1952 she transported on the S.S. Blommersdijk to Philadelphia where she was later captured by the ‘dean of yachting photography’ Morris Rosenfeld for the 23 November 1952 editions of The New York Times.
