This is De Vrouwe Christina
The drawings of De Vrouwe Christina for American professor Crawford F. Failey were made by chef-draughtsman Bastiaan Vermeer from the design bureau of H.W. de Voogt. The 23.04-metre tjalk was made of steel and had a beam of 5.27-metre. The mainsail was 105 m²; and two GM diesels were installed, each of 150 hp. The well-known Dutch sculptor, ceramist and interior architect Anton Fortuin was appointed to create various wooden sculptures for the yacht, including a teak seal to decorate the rudder head and a sculpted dolphin adorned the entrance stairs to the salon. He even applied his art to the yacht’s many doorknobs and handles.
