The 1984-launched Orion was the second Feadship for this owner. While only 2.57-metre longer than her predecessor, Passage II, delivered in 1973, the 37.95-metre yacht incorporated many advances in electronics that happened during the intervening years. In an unusual move for this time, the main galley was placed below deck, as practice had shown that a pantry bar on the main deck was sufficient for service and allowed a large owner’s suite on main deck. The charming fantail stern could be enclosed to extend her cruising season. The interior was all teak with burl insets.
