With the stepping down of Henk and Tom de Vries from the day-to-daymanagement, Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw marks a significant moment in the history of the family business.

The occasion was marked at the Aalsmeer yard, where more than 500 guests from the Dutch and international superyacht industry, together with family and friends, gathered under the title Passing the Helm with Flying Colours.

Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw is defined by long term thinking, craftsmanship and a consistent course. These values underpin the collaboration within Feadship and the way leadership has developed step by step in recent years, with responsibilities carefully assigned within the De Vries Board.

Day to day management rests with Roderick de Vries (Chief Executive Officer), Rob de Vries (Chief Projects Officer), Bas Nederpelt (Chief Commercial Officer and Feadship Director) and John Veldman (Chief Financial Officer). Together, they bring more than eighty years of De Vries experience and continue to build on a course centred on quality, continuity and long term collaboration.

Henk and Tom de Vries will remain involved with Feadship as Ambassadors and with Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw as Supervisory Board members and shareholders.
